Input Clock Selection
---------------------
    The input reference clock for the system clock can be sourced from the following

    JP10 ->  Jumper inserted      => Use CLK_IN input sourced from external 
                                     oscillator on OSC1
         ->  Jumper not inserted  => Use 12MHz on chip USB oscillator

    Switch options below select what external oscillator frequency is used on OSC1

HPI Interface
-------------
    The EVM5517 has an HPI interface which provides a parallel port through 
    which an external host processor can directly access the processor's 
    resources (configuration and program/data memories).

    The HPI boot mode can be used to load a program directly to the system 
    memory and run it. 
    SW4-1 is used to enable HPI mode. This switch enables/desables the following paths.

    HPI_ON = ON => HPI mode disabled
        HPI control and data lines not connected
        SDRAM CS enabled
        SPI(Flash)/I2S2/SPI(LCD) MUX (U23 & U29) enabled
        UART (U21) and Expansion SPI (U10) lines enabled

    HPI_ON = OFF => HPI mode enabled
        HPI control and data lines ar enabled
        SDRAM OE is disabled
        SPI Flash/I2S2/SPI LCD MUX disabled
        UART plus additional lines (U21 and U10) disabled


    SW4-2 controls the interface used as the external host processor.
            HPI_SEL_IF = ON  => MSP430 is Host
            HPI_SEL_IF = OFF => External Host JP13

Bootmode
--------
    The bootmode can be set either by SW3[1:6] or using the MSP430.
    
MSP430 SPI
----------
    SW11-5 enables/disables McSPI communication between MSP430 and 5517.
    SW11-6 controls direction (master/slave) of McSPI communication between MSP430 
           and 5517.
    Note: The signals SEL0_MMC1_MCSPI and SEL1_MMC1_MCSPI must be in the proper 
          mode to enable McSPI interface. Details are given in the section below.
      
MMC1/McSPI MUXing
----------------
    The signals SEL0_MMC1_MCSPI and SEL1_MMC1_MCSPI control a DUAL 1-OF-4 Multiplexer 
    MUXing the McSPI signals to 4 separate destinations. SEL0_MMC1_MCSPI and 
    SEL1_MMC1_MCSPI can be controlled by:
    
    SEL1_MMC1_MCSPI  -> SW4-3    or   IO expander U44 line P15
    SEL0_MMC1_MCSPI  -> SW4-4    or   IO expander U44 line P14
    
    
    There are a total of 6 signals controlled by 3 MUXes all tied to the same selection
    signals.

    0                     0                      McSPI to MSP430 mode (4 lines). 
                                                 Other 2 are GP10 and GP 11 to J14

                                                 2 are NC.
    1                     1                      McSPI to JP46. All the signals are 
                                                 routed to JP46.
    The switch values can be over ridden by the IO Expander as is done for the MMC1 
    microSD card test.
 

MMC0/I2S0 MUXing
----------------
    The MMC0 and I2S0 lines are MUXed. It is controlled by the SEL_MMC0_I2S 
    signal from the I2C expander line P10.

SPI Flash/I2S2/SPI LCD MUX
--------------------------
    The SPI/I2S2 signals are MUXed to 3 separate locations using a DUAL 1-OF-4
    Multiplexer. This is done using the SPI_I2S2_S0 and SPI_I2S2_S1 signals 
    originating from the IO Expander U44.
